The Tyn-Y-Capel is an ancient coaching Inn with records dating back to 1250 AD and described as a monks retreat.  The monks on their pilgrimage from Vale Crucis Abbey would visit the site and it is thought they would stop to feed the lepers who lived on Minera Mountain in the caves, through the mullion window in the wall of the pub.  The oldest part of the pub is the stoneflagged porch entrance.  Outside the views of Esclusham mountain are magnificant.  The pub has a fantastic reputation for food and hospitaility. The Tyn-Y-Capel Inn is set in the beautiful welsh mountains, it is a popular and lively pub that has a varied entertainment program and an extensive menu.
